TBCA, in partnership with Yöstmark Backcountry Tours, is pleased to offer a series of Snow Safety Clinics at the TBCA Coal Creek Beacon Park west of Teton Pass. The clinics will be held on January 18 and 24, with the third date TBA. A contribution of $20 per clinic is requested.
Sign Up!...Throughout the snow season, we will be calling local avalanche experts to learn what they are observing and what backcountry users should look for when venturing into the hills and posting the recording as the Backcountry Snow and Safety Report. The report is produced by the Teton Backcountry Alliance in cooperation with the Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center, Teton Search and Rescue, and KHOL radio.
Hear current and past reports...The Teton Backcountry Alliance, in cooperation with the USFS, will launch its Volunteer Winter Backcountry Ambassador program again this winter. Selected Volunteer Ambassadors will work at key areas in the Teton Pass Corridor to provide information to users and help where needed. This program complements the on-going and outstanding work of our Teton Pass Ambassador Jay Pistono.
