HIRING: TBCA Seeks Exec. Director

Teton Backcountry Alliance seeks a high-energy and enthusiastic Executive Director (part-time position) to oversee its operations and programs. The hired director will manage administrative activities, coordinate the Teton Pass Ambassador Program, plan and execute public events, and assist with other TBCA programs. Applicants should have a good understanding of Teton winter backcountry issues, strong written and oral communication skills, and competency with basic computer programs and social media. The ED takes direction from the TBCA Board of Directors, and works with the board president to execute the board’s decisions. Time commitment: ~30 hours/week from Oct to May and 15 hours/week from June to Sept.

Areas of responsibility:


Communications/social media

·       Manage website

·       Postings of current events and news items

·       Drafting and mailing of TBCA quarterly “Newsletters”

·       General outreach communication and updates

Financials

·       Work with TBCA’s bookkeeper to document expenses and income. 

Planning

·       Work with the Board of Directors (BOD) on strategic and financial planning, and policy development.

·       Help organize annual retreat of BOD

·       Work with Board Chair and board to fundraise

Program Management

·       Teton Pass Ambassador Program

o   Work with paid staff and volunteers

o   Issue and track equipment

o   Organize training sessions

o   Oversee scheduling of service

o   Manage reporting system

·       Public Events

o   Backcountry Film Festival planning and execution

o   Educational forum (Details TBA)

·       Beacon Park

o   Instillation and removal

·       Teton Pass Shuttle

o   Oversee operation
